I was lucky, very lucky to be Jill's friend from the seventh grade (we went to the top of the World Trade Center together) until the time of her passing in 2000. I think of Jill all the time and wonder as the Kenny Chesney song says, "who you'd be today?" Jill was bubbly and kind. She had a wide contagious smile. The last time I saw her was the Friday before she passed, she kissed the back of my receipt. I am not entirely sure why, only that I still have that receipt. We (Alison M and I) were bummed she wouldn't be joining us for the entire weekend away in Mineral...I am surprised we don't have anything written in her remembrance: the way that Jill lived life - not caring about a big popularity contest, with an open heart to her friends, and working her butt off to obtain the things she wanted - those are still ways I strive to live my life. Jill just lived to be happy and good to her friends, to make her own successes. She was smart, she had a quick wit, and she meant far more to many of us that I can put into writing. In closing, our dear Jill, you were taken far too soon, and you left a bright shining light of hope and example. You are missed with each passing reunion and ... You are loved, always! Much love, Big haired Nessa.
