went on a mission, went to college, then law school, then taught high school for a while, now am bartending.

I really want to become a minimalist. What does that mean? If I knew, I might be one already. I have a certain attachment to possessions so I'm starting at a disadvantage. I think what I'm really striving for is just to clean my room up a little and reorganize my files. I'm sure other minimalists would scoff at that but then, hey, minimalists have always been a little judgmental.

The thrill of slowdancing to Forever Young, the smell of public school carpeting and lockers, breaded and fried meats in the lunch room, getting to school early for this or that reason, gentle yet firm admonishments from our teachers, fight or flight response sophomore year walking through either cowboy hall or rocker hall, bridge building competition, someone getting a trumpet taped to their forehead so they'd hold their bell at the appropriate level, running in the hallways for gym class, skateboarders in the courtyard, chilly air for friday night football games, some event where we stayed up all night in rocking chairs, etc.
