London Lorber Fan brings Yearbook for Jeff to sign !
Jeff writes from London -- April 30, 2019:
Yeah he was a big fan -- he had purchased this 1970 El Delator and brought it to the club. Of course I had to get a shot of us with the yearbook. Sure, I signed it! Page 147 -- he knew just which page.
I didn’t ask him where he lives but probably not too far from London. We were playing in the legendary Ronnie Scott’s nightclub. (Ronnie Scott was an alto player who played on the Beatles song Lady Madonna.)
The British fans are serious music fans... they’re really into it. My first couple records (record label Inner City) were sort of hits over there. At the time we were pretty much a local Portland OR band, I guess the 2nd record caught on nationwide but the first one sure didn’t. I didn’t do much touring in Europe until many years later.

Alan Kane writes:
Thursday evening, April 6, our own classmate Jeff Lorber will be playing and performing at Havana in New Hope, with his group The Jeff Lorber Fusion. I have blocked off the best 25 seats in the house, and can get more if necessary. The food is great at Havana. Please let me know if you are interested in this pre-mini reunion reunion. In 1971, Jeff Lorber and Mark Beebe (CHS 1972 or '73?) went to see Sun Ra one evening.
Mark's memories of the experience are presented in graphic rendition, below.
Yes, it is all true (or most of it).
