Thomas Devine

DEVINE - Thomas H. Devine, age 62, of Pullman, passed away September 23, 2011. Tom was born March 11, 1949 in Grand Rapids, and was a graduate of Lee High School and proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marines, receiving a Philosophy degree from Grand Valley College. Spring and Fall were Toms favorite times of the year and he spent most of his extra time fishing with his friends and his wife, Darlene; and walking with his family and his dog. He will be missed by all of us and in our hearts forever. Tom is survived by his devoted wife of twenty two years, Darlene (Holes); a brother, Bill DeVine and fiancée, Karen LaVelle of Houston; sisters,

Marianne and  son, Ben, Cheryl Johnson of Texas, Mo and Darrell Smith of Grand Rapids, Eileen DeVine and her lifelong partner Dee of Georgia, and Vicky DeVine of Grand Rapids; in-laws, Pat Holes, Robin Oram, Diane VanKuilenburg, and Jim Holes; Tom's faithful dog, Trooper; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Tom Sr.; his mother, Lutricia (Jones); brothers, Steve and Charlie; and a brother-in-law, RD Johnson.

A memorial service will be conducted, Monday, September 26, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., at the Wayland VFW, Wayland. Memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice will be appreciated.
