Stop Sign Stolen, Girl Is Killed

A I9 year-old Wyoming girl died Friday night and five other persons were injured because someone removed

a stop sign in Hopkins Township, Allegan County.

State police at Wayland said Constance Saul, 19, of 1828 Federal Ave. SW, was driving north on 18th St., approaching 130th Ave., about 10:15 p.m. Friday when her automobile collided with one driven by Dolores Greeley, 16, of Dorr Rte. 2, traveling east. A stop sign for eastbound traffic had been stolen the night before, police said.

Constance was dead on arrival at Allegan Health Center.

Kenneth Haagsma, 20, of 345 Eola St. SE; Charles Hill, 17, of 705 Lynch St. SW, and Douglas Walkington, 16, of 4119 Milan Ave. SW, passengers in the Saul vehicle, were taken to St. Mary's Hospital, Saturday, Haagsma was listed in poor condition, Hill and Walkington in fair condition.

Mary Saul sister and also a passanger, was to undergo surgery Saturday at St. Mary's.

Miss Greeley, admitted to the Allegan Health Center, was reported in satisfactory condition.

A 1967 graduate of Lee High School, Constance is survived by her parents,

Mr. and Mrs. Donald O. Saul; another sister,

Dawn, at home, and her grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H.

Stafford of Sharon, Pa.
