My brother Troy was in your class. Even though I graduated in 78, Troy and I took many classes together. Because of that I ended up knowing more people from your year than my year! Thank you for letting me be a guest and represent Troy.
Troy was very active in school. He spent three years in FFA, drama, and I think band (he could play many instruments). He was an officer in FFA and was in the State FFA band.
He went to college at Wenatchee Valley Community College and WSU. His degree was in phlebotomy/chemistry. He went to work drawing blood and processing samples in the hospital in Wenatchee. Later, he became a meat inspector for Tyson Foods in the Tri-cities.
While physically fit all his life, he did not know he had type 2 diabetes and it went unchecked long enough that it wrecked his heart. He had a heart attack and lost 80% of the function of his heart.
If you knew Troy, you also knew how stubborn he was. He continued to work in that condition until he died on February 9, 2009.
