Like most of us, raising a family keeps me busy. Coming from a family of all girls and having a family of all boys was a big change for me. Our house is a hockey house....we eat, sleep, and breathe hockey 24/7....and that's okay with me! During the winter our children play travel hockey and we go all over to support them at games and tournaments. When we are not in hockey mode, my husband and I enjoy our date nights and get away weekends. We really love exploring new places. I feel very fortunate to have been blessed with such a wonderful family and husband who is truly my best friend...he makes me laugh all the time!

Thanks to facebook, I have been able to reconnect with a good number of my old friends from St. Louis. My parents moved into the parish to get us out of the city and I'm glad they did. It gave me the opportunity to meet some of the nicest people and make some of the nicest friends.

School Story:

I still think my favorite story is the "boiler room" story. Donna Dolan and I used to like Tim Truax and Frank Perri. Tim and Frank were in charge of gathering all the trash at the end of the school day. Students would bring the trash cans down and Tim and Frank would dump them in a big bag and leave them in the boiler room. Well after school Donna and I would sneak down to see our boyfriends and this one particular day the nuns were on to us. Donna and I ran and hid behind the boiler...crouched down so low. All we could see was Tim standing outside the room and Sister Jeannette's legs on the landing above him. She yelled "Tim, where are the girls?" and Tim responds in a very innocent voice, "What girls, Sister?". She left and and as soon as we could we bolted from the building. We were so scared but laughed about it all the way home.

My other favorite story was Mr. Matz teaching us how to play poker and the afternoon he gave Brian Nihill greef for chewing his tie. He was always chewing his tie. This one particular day while playing poker, he made me take off my little girl's tie and made Brian wear it. It was cute to me, but I'm sure humiliating to Brian.
