Carolyn Sisti (1963)

Veronica was one of our crowd of girls from Yeadon.  There were about 15 of us, we had a sorority when we got to high school and called ourselves Delta Phi Epsilon (Daughters Forever Equal).  We all had gold pinky rings with this emblem.  We went down to Wildwood for a week for a few years with the dues we collected from our meetings.  Our meetings on Sundays were really parties at someone's house who wasn't home! On the way to school all of us would congregate in the terminal, smoke cigarettes and eat donuts before getting on the trolley to go to Prendie.

Here are some of the members names we hung around with.  I hope some of you post your comments.

Regina DiPietro, Kathy Scuderi, Roseann Pietrofesse, Nancy Riley, Patti Tilli, Jean Flannery, Barbara Strong, Mary Jane Daly, Georgina Levens (also deceased), Kathy Martella, Debbie Good, Theresa Brescia. (who did I forget?)

Veronica was an honor student. I remember Veronica always laughing and full of life.  I don't remember her ever sad or upset.

Veronica and I exchanged Christmas cards sporadically and for a few years I did not hear from her.  I called her at home about 3 years ago  to chat with her.  To my shock, her husband informed me she had passed away.  I believe she may have had cancer.  Her married name was Lloyd, I don't think any of us ever met him and that's why we were never informed.

Fondly and always in my prayers, from Carolyn Sisti
