Joanne had the voice of an angel. She and I sang together in the choir, and she definitely kept me on key as a second soprano. We attended St. Patrick's (Glenwood) together and remained friends At Mooney. She actually passed away in the spring of our junior year (1969) of high school. It was a tragic accident - she was burned by the family incinerator, having gotten stuck while emptying trash. Few days go by, when hearing a great song on the radio, that I don't think of her and realize how much the world lost with her death. She would have become a great opera or pop singer. And, oh, by the way, she was really smart as well
