Gary F. Vogelberger, 56
BOARDMAN – Private services were held Tuesday at Ellsworth Cemetery for Gary F. Vogelberger, 50, who died Friday.
Mr. Vogelberger was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Youngstown, the son of Clarence G. and Mary Jayne Cahill Vogelberger.
He was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. He retired in January of 2003 at 50 years of age from Hynes Industries Inc. and then worked part-time for BP in Boardman.
After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife and spending time with his beloved family and friends. Gary was known for making everyone laugh. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid Browns and Indians fan.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Susan Gretsinger, whom he married Nov. 17, 1973; his children, Christina Marie (Patrick) Terry of Boardman and Raymond Paul (Marci) Vogelberger of Boardman; his grandchildren, Tyler Montgomery Hufnagel and Kendra Rae Vogelberger; and his mother-in-law, Betty J. Gretsinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judith Ann Vogelberger; and his father-in-law, Paul L. Gretsinger.
There are no calling hours.
