Ginny Gresko Lyden
Far too soon, and long before we thought it ought to be her time, the Lord called from this life to her reward of everlasting life, Ginny Lyden. A graduate of Cardinal Money High School, she was for all of her life a faithful Christian and Catholic and loved the Lord, her family, her Church and her life, which was replete with blessings.
She was the quintessential example of a Wife, Mom, Christian, Friend, Neighbor and Teacher. All too soon she, as the Irish say, “Got Away.” She answered the call of Jesus to return home, the same Lord Jesus to whom she was faithful and who had said to her and to us all: “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places; otherwise how could I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you.”
Sorely missed by Me and our sons, Daniel, and twins, Timothy and Thomas, as well as by her own family and many friends, relatives, colleagues and co-workers, We trust in the words of the Book of Wisdom: “The souls of the just are in the hands of God, and no torment shall touch them”.
Ginny enjoyed life, her children, her ministry of teaching She touched so many children in her 25 years of teaching. She waged a brave battle with cancer for 16 years, fighting bravely and not complaining. She was a model of virtue, and anyone who knew her would be proud to be counted among those she called friend.
She was proud of her affiliation with Cardinal Money High School, and is certainly going to be present at the reunion -- as she is still present in so many ways in spirit. Through her family and her work, Ginny lives on -- especially in the many lives that she bettered, including her students through the years and the many other paths that crossed hers; so many lives are better than they might have been had she not been a part of the story of all whom she knew, and were privileged to know her.
Sadly missed by her family, we ask that you remember her in your prayers and we promise to do the same for you.

To the Lyden family,
What an awesome tribute. It's so beautiful they way you remember her and keep her memory alive. I graduated with Ginny, but we didn't really run in the same circle, but I always knew that she was well thought of by many. It sounds like she lived a truly Christian life. I wish I would have known her better.
