Age 72, following a long battle with emphysema, Laura went to be in peace with the Lord April 23, 2018. She was born August 22, 1945 in Ypsilanti, the daughter of Clifford and Goldie (Howard) Geesey. Laura graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1963. She was married and after the birth of her twin boys, she went to work for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department and Health Department, where she later retired. Laura is survived by: her brother Donald (Key) Sorrell; her twin sons, Larry (Karen Geiger) Doe and Terry (Deana Kelly) Doe; her dearest friends, Sue Misure, Shirley Watts and Loretta LaPan; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, siblings, Sharon, Glennis, Wanda and Bill and her beloved dog Queenie. The funeral service will be 11 am Friday, April 27, 2018 at Stark Funeral Service with her friend, Mr. Roger Watts, officiating. Burial will follow in Union-Udell Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to either Arbor Hospice Residence or Great Lakes Home Health Care and Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday
