Dennis, you always made me laugh in class.  And that was no easy task.  My thoughts and prayers go to your family.

Dennis.....it was a joy to meet and speak with you throughout the years as a classmate and friend. You were an example to all of someone who brightened life. May your memory serve all of us well, the rest of our days.

With sympathy, Tom Hall

When I received notice of his passing the first thing I remembered was his infectious smile. What a great guy. Even after having not seen him for 50 years, I  remember him well. Rest in peace my man.

Dear Dennis and family,

You must really be smiling now that you're on the other side of the veil!  Hope your reunion with family and friends there welcomed you home big time!

I knew Dennis back in elementary school (Prospect School).  He lived around the corner from the end of my street (if I remember right), across from Prospect Park.  I last saw him at Meijer perhaps six months ago, and he seemed OK at that time....  He's in a good place now.

Mary,

I was so nice to meet you yesterday, though I'd hoped to have more time with your family.  Your father was special to us all, his infectious smile to his deep beliefs.  As we talked over the years he spoke of many things, from the health challenges he was dealing with, to his loving supportive family.  It is so wonderful to know that his trials here on earth are over.  He has survived the challenges and has been welcomed with loving arms.

He hated so much to leave you all, but he truly left a legacy that we will all remember.  He touched the hearts of so many.  God left us truly more knowledgeable humans, because of the gift he gave us, in the father you all had, the way he touched your lives and ours.  You surely know that he is smiling because of the celebration you honored him with, as Dennis was probably there, watching over it all.

Be at peace, as he is,

Janet

The short one, second from the right side of the pict.  (ha, ha)  Him with his big smile at the 40th!!  He was a fighter and will continue to be...making everyone laugh and smile...a true gift.  We were blessed too.

It has taken me a while to get to a point of reflecting my thoughts on the loss of Maureen, Dennis, and Earl, all of whom I knew quit well.

Dennis was and has always been one of my favorite people.  There is no doubt he was one of the most popular and well-known among us.  Dennis, as always, brought light to every room he entered and life to everyone in the room.  Over the years, we knew he was battling his illness, but he continued to put it on the back burner, while he filled us with his unbridled laughter and courage.  It goes without saying that Dennis will be missed in so many ways, but we can go on knowing that we all are better for knowing him.
