Anne MacDonald was a very close friend of mine in high school. We stayed overnight at her house and attended church together in our perspective churches. We were in the 10th grade when I learned about her accidental death. She was riding a horse and nearby was a train track. Her horse bolted and it struck the side of the train killing both her and her horse. Many of us mourned her death together at her funeral. Anne and I were biology lab partners. When we went back to class, Greg Duvall sat with me to help me cope with her passing. She loved her family and horses and I always missed her. Carolyn Lucado Griffin
When I moved to Michigan, Anne befriended me and sat with me in English and walked the halls between classes. She was a big help to me in gym too. I was so shocked when she suddenly left us. I'll never forget the feeling of having her with us one day and not the next.
A big thank you to her family for including us (her friends) and giving us an opportunity to grieve for her at her funeral.
At a meeting earlier this year when we were making plans for the reunion and talking about how to acknowledge those members of our class who are deceased, someone mentioned Anne and the room went silent. Even after 50 years the shock of her early departure stills our hearts. In the assigned seats in Miss Lister's 2nd year Spanish class, Anne sat right in front of me. For the rest of the semester, the sight of that empty seat was nearly unbearable. I have thought of her often and grieved for the life she didn't get to have.

Dear Anne' family,
When I moved to Michigan, Anne befriended me and sat with me in English and walked the halls between classes. She was a big help to me in gym too. I was so shocked when she suddenly left us. I'll never forget the feeling of having her with us one day and not the next.
A big thank you to her family for including us (her friends) and giving us an opportunity to grieve for her at her funeral.
Still missing you,
