Amy Wellard Applegate, 39, passed into heaven Monday, March 26, 2012, after courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 9, 1972 to Dennis and Cassie Wellard in Yuma, AZ. Amy was gifted "Criminal" athlete in Varsity basketball and softball (5A state girls champs 1990) plus 4H and FFA. She earned her B.S. from Utah State University and Masters in Education from Weber State University.

An award winning teacher and coach Amy taught in Utah, Alaska, Nebraska, and New York. Accomplishing many goals, one being to see all 50 states.

Amy leaves her parents; brothers, Kevin (Christina), Kirk, Kit (Karine), Lynden all of Yuma; sister, Ann (Sean) of San Francisco, CA; special companion, Caitlin; grandmother, LaVon, as well as two nieces, four nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loyal lifelong friends.
