Pat Cullen

Patricia Ann Cullen, 66 of Richmond, passed away April 27, 2011 at Carrington Place Nursing Home, in Chesapeake.

She attended Lee Davis High School and was a 1963 graduate of James Monroe High School. She graduated with honors from the College of William and Mary in 1967, where she played basketball and field hockey, and was a member of Phi Mu social sorority. She was a P.E. teacher at Walsingham Academy, Culpeper County, Maggie Walker, and Highland Springs High Schools, were she was a basketball, field hockey and tennis coach.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy Walker and husband, Jim of Chesapeake and brother, Jack Cullen and wife, Vivian of Charlottesville; Five nieces and nephews, Michael Cullen and wife, Ashley, Meagan Cullen, Kim Lassiter and husband, Bill, Lt. Col. Kevin Walker and wife, Michelle, and Kelly Johnson and husband, Jeremiah; six great nieces and nephews; godson, Daniel Pierson and wife Ann; three special friends, Christopher, Jessica, and Emily Pierson, and numerous other friends; and her beloved kitty cat, Dexter.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Virginia Cullen and sister, Ginnysue Cullen.

A service will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
