Robert “Bob” L. Elmore, age 63 of Mulberry Grove, passed away in a vehicle accident Friday, November 25, 2022, in Bond County.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. A service will be held following the visitation at 6:00 p.m. Family requests memorials instead of flowers or gifts. Memorials may be made to the Greenville VFW Post #1377.

Robert L. Elmore, the son of Clinton Tom Elmore (who survives) and Donna Elam Elmore, was born February 14, 1959, in Hillsboro, Illinois. Bob attended the local schools and Hillsboro High School. He worked for John Crane Factory which is now Vanseal Corporation for over 44 years. Robert was a master operator at the factory.

July 3, 2005, Robert and Janice L. (Tally) were united in marriage. They have enjoyed 16 years together. Surviving are his 3 children: Lillian Clayton of Hillsboro, Illinois, Donna Riggs of Hillsboro, Illinois, and Bobbie (John) Haynie of Texas. Also surviving are 3 step-children: Chet Wilderman of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, Bryan (Grace) Wilderman of Greenville, and Bridgette (Sherry) Wilderman of Virginia. Loving grandfather of 20 and great-grandfather to Noah File. Bob is also survived by his father Clinton and sister Teresa (Phil) Tolliver of Irving, Illinois.

Bob loved to spend time with his family. He was also an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman. He got to do all 3 of his favorite activities the week he died in the car accident. Please share a memory, photo, or leave a condolence online www.donnellwiegand.com
