Mark Steven “Steve” Taylor, 66, of Irving, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at Open Arms Fellowship in Irving. Pastor Randy White will officiate. Burial will follow in Irving Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Taylor was born in Hillsboro on Feb. 17, 1959, a son of Laverne Eugene “Gene” and Wanda Elaine (Elam) Taylor. He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenter’s Local 725. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Mr. Taylor was a member of Open Arms Fellowship in Irving and New Attitudes Biker Club in Alton.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Wanda Taylor of Irving; son, Jason Huddelston and family of Florida; daughter, Heather (Jack) Spenceberger of Coffeen; brother, Carl (Susan Shannon) Taylor of Irving; and several grandchildren.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Gene Taylor; a daughter, Carrie Lynn Taylor; a brother, Timmy Dean Taylor; and sisters Lola Sue “Cheata” Durbin and Gina Dvorak.
