Before going into my Bio & even though I am retired my life hasn't slowed. I seem to have a need to be continually busy unless I'm watching ballgames.Probably because at our age life seems to be collapsing. I've decided if you own a house the projects are never ending plus I read alot, mostly fictional thrillers and my wife & I travel. We have toured the United States, visited Europe three times, Argentina,Korea,Hong Kong, China and have been to my favorite place, Hawaii seven times and went on a cruise down the Rhine river in Germany in April. Now to my bio-- Taught school, elementary ed, in seven different places in eight years. Got married in 1966, what a mistake, one child Amy, divorced 1971. Amy stayed with me. We moved to Pa. to live with my sister, cheap babysitting services, and got married again in Aug. 1972 to Kathy my present and wonderful wife of 39 years. Moved to Orange, Tx. Sept. 1973 to work for Delta Downs horse track in Vinton, La.
Started selling insurance for Aid Association for Lutherans in fall of 1974, wonderful clients, terrible climate, had three more daughters, Katrina in 77, Heidi in 79, & Gretchen in 81. Fed up with the climate and moved back to God's country, Kansas, in Fall of 88. Settled in Hutch, put the girls in the Buhler school district, which we loved and kept working for the same company and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2001. Retired at the end of Feb. 2006, kept my hand in part time, but fully retired as of Nov. 14th, 2014.

this class reunion should be a celebration of having made it 55+ years past graduation, everyone should come just to swap old stories and compare medications....

Okay, here goes. Remember Miss Viets our Freshman English teacher. What a babe and absolutely no class discipline. We were passing notes one day and she caught me and wanted the note. I put it down my shirt and told her to get it. She turned bright red.
Some of you guys will remember the boys slumber party we had in the Spring of our freshman year; first at my house and then one at Bob Jones house. What a blast. We roamed the town until the wee hours and the cops never stopped us.
Remember the lockers we had. Pete Peterson's was next to mine and he was forever putting barn sparrows in my locker alive in a paper bag. And they wonder how the birds got into the auditorium.
My dog Poodie was in our Junior play, "Cheaper By the Dozen" and she kept escaping but we always caught her before it was time for her entrance--barely.
The time the chorus went to sing, probably our junior year, in Manhattan. Doug Hawkinson, Jim Tipton & myself wandered off and went to Kites before we were to sing. We made it back and I did not imbibe, but the other two did, as I recollect. Somehow Millie found out too.
