Stan passed away on February 12, 2002 after a battle with Non-Hodkins Lymphoma.

Payant, Stanley A., 39 of St. Petersburg died Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2002) at St. Anthony's Hospital.  Born in Columbus, GA, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1978 from Orlando, FL.  He was an investment banker with Wm. R. Hough & Co. in St. Petersburg.  He was Methodist and a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church.  He was president of the Florida Municipal Bond Club and a member of John Darling Masonic Lodge.  Survivors include his wife: Marybeth Payant, St. Petersburg; three (3) daughters: Heather Payant, Ashley Payant and Julia Payant, all of St. Petersburg; his father and mother: Kenneth and Jutta Payant, Tampa, FL; a sister: Sandy Lee, St. Petersburg; Paternal Grandmother: Yolanda Payant, Sebastian, FL; Maternal Grandmother: Hede Weber, Germany; two (2) uncles: Richard W. Payant, Oldsmar, FL and Otmar Bollinger, Germany; a niece, Rachel Lee, St. Petersburg; a nephew, Matthew Lee, St. Petersburg; and three (3) cousins: Sean Payant and Jason Payant, both of Oldsmar, FL and Bernd Bollinger, Germany. The Stanley Payant Circle of Hope Fund has been set-up through St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation and is earmarked to benefit cancer victims and their families. Tax-deductible donations can be made payable to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation designated to the Stanley Payant Circle of Hope Fund.
