James Miner

James E. "Minie" Miner, age 57, beloved husband of Georgia Quine Miner, died on April 2, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Bernard and Eleanor Grimmick Miner. He attended Troy schools, was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1973 and attended HVCC. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jim worked at Garden Way in Troy, C.W. Whalen Tent in Troy, and was a sales representative at various automobile dealerships including Action Chevrolet in Brunswick. He was a longtime member of the Brunswick #1 Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed social networking on Facebook and was an avid fan of the NY Giants. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Melissa (Nick) Bates of Hendersonville, Tenn., Michael (Valerie) Reardon of Troy, Heather (Dillon) Ford of Brooklyn and Eric J. Miner of Troy; and his grandchildren, Brienna, Andrew, Triston, Julia, Kylie and Addison. He was predeceased by a brother, William (Maureen) Miner and a sister, Janet (Sam) Yetto.
