David S. Williams

Williams, David S. WATERFORD David S. Williams, 79, of Maple Ave. died peacefully Friday, September 14, 2018, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William and Louise Etoll Williams. Dave worked for over 30 years at Eber Brother's Liquor Distributors in Guilderland and was a member of the Teamsters Union. In his earlier years, he had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and had been employed as a Waterford police officer. Dave was very active in his community. He was a longtime former member of the Waterford Rescue Squad and he coached Waterford Youth Council Soccer and Baseball, as well as CYO Basketball. Dave was the loving husband of the late Shelley Collins Williams and the father of Jean M. Rowe, Sharon L. Tucker, Elizabeth A. Rose, David T., Timothy L. and Daniel T. Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tristin and Kamden Williams; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford. Interment will follow in Waterford Rural Cemetery.
