My husband, Jiim Pollock, was born on the same day as Howie. As they lived less than 1/2 a mile away from each other,as kids they always celebrated their birthdays together. I started dating my husband in our freshman year and it wasn't too long before we were double dating with Howie and Barb. Soon Helga and Brian Cranston and Richie and BJ Johnson were added to our dating group. Why am I writing this instead of Jim.? Perhpas it's too painful for him to lose his "favorite" childhood friend. He still tells the stories of mischief and fun that is synonomous with Howie's name! Here's one of them. The pocketbook game: where a pocketbook was attached to a string and laid along the side of the road. When a car stopped to inspect it, the bag disappeared as did Howie and others holding on to it, laughting in glee! Or I remember Howie playing his guitar to promote Jim in his Studnet Council President election cmpaign? I believe that was a FIRST at THS! the wonderful memories could go on forever (as Jim advised me not to in this commemt). As our hearts are saddend by Howie's passing, I can't imagine Barbara's feelings of loss. As we remember the laughter and fun he gave us, we love and pray for you Barbara as you begin your journey without him, knowing we shall all met up again! Cheryl

Daybed are you related by marriage to Sylvia Gorman?
Beautiful pictures of the "Most in Shape" '62 graduate couple! Handsome grand also! Nice lake setting in your picture Helga. We have already been to the lake overnight. Jim, our son Clayton and his girlfriend caught their limit in huge lake trout (9 in all) which made incredible grilled trout! I don't wear a mask and won't get the shots. I have faith, not fear. Life is good! Happy trails to you....Cher
Jim remembers Maria giving him a hug at the 25th Reunion. She was lovely then and in high school. Sorry the years have separated us, but she will be remembered as my tall, beautiful, classy friend.
Happy Birthday, Cheryl. Have a great day and a great year.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday. Start celebrating early and continue thru the end of June. May this be your best year ever. I love your website and your patterns. Linda
