ANNOUNCEMENTS

January 2026

Recently while on the internet, I stumbled on a list of students who graduated from the eighth grade of School 14 in 1960.  This was my class, my school. I took those fifty names and compiled a few statistics from information we have on Class Creator.  Of the fifty, thirty nine graduated from Troy High School in 1964.  The remaining eleven may have graduated a year later, “dropped out,” or moved away.

Of the thirty nine students, who are graduates of both School 14 and Troy High School in 1964, sixteen are currently members of the Class Creator website although their information is not necessarily up to date.  Fifteen have died.  There are also eight who never joined Class Creator and are “missing.”  Those of us who have graduated from School 14 and Troy High, and are still in touch with each other, enjoy a special kind of bond, whether close or not.  We share a history of childhood.  If you are lucky enough to still remember a few people from your elementary school, I urge you to be or stay in touch with an old friend.   And because our class is starting to turn 80, be sure to wish each other a Happy Birthday!

Be as healthy as you can!  I'm cheering for everyone!   Linda

PS Would someone like to volunteer to set up a Zoom for our class?  Please be in touch with me.
