Carol Ann (Rocque) Scriven

BRUNSWICK Carol Ann Rocque Scriven, 56, of Watson Avenue, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Troy on April 10, 1947, she is the beloved daughter of Catherine Mele Rocque of Brunswick and the late Ernest Rocque. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory School and Troy High School, class of 1965. She was employed by the Town of Brunswick for eight years as the deputy receiver of taxes, deputy town clerk and highway clerk. She later was employed by the Partners in Family Medicine in Cropseyville as the medical records clerk for eight years. In 1995, she was a candidate for Brunswick town clerk. She was also a homemaker and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. She was an avid bingo player along with her good friend, Barbara White. Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Terry J. Scriven; two sons, Terry Scriven of Troy and Robert Scriven and his wife Wendy of Brunswick; three sisters, Mrs. John (Rosemary) Seabury of Brunswick, Donna Baker of Troy and Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Zareski of Brunswick; sister-in-law of Mrs. Leo (Karen) Rocque of Brunswick; aunt of John Jr., Edward, Shawn, Damien and Ernest Seabury and Christopher and Ryan Zareski; great-aunt of Bryan and Shawn Seabury Jr. and Nicholas Seabury. The funeral will be Saturday morning at 9 a.m. from the Doran Funeral Home, 9 South Lake Avenue, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to either Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy, NY 12180 or to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
