Funeral services for Elaine Bennett Casey will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 4pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2094 Columbia Hwy North, Aiken SC 29805 with Pastor Marion Britton of Lighthouse Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Redds Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 390 Redds Branch Road. The family will receive friends at the church from 3pm until the time of the service. There will be no calling hours at the George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW. Memorial donations may be directed to the Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mrs. Casey, 68, of Aiken, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at University Hospital in Augusta. A daughter of the late John Felder Bennett and Irene Banks Bennett, she was born in Enoree, SC. She was a former Sunday school teacher at Redds Branch Baptist Church and was highly regarded as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Mark, who died in 1995. She is survived by her husband of forty eight years, Olin "Dee" Casey, Aiken; a daughter, Michelle Kelly, Beaufort, SC; a brother, John Terry Bennett, NC, a grandson, Matthew D. Casey, Aiken, a daughter-in-law, Denise Casey and a son-in-law Daryl Kelly.
