I have recently retired as a Social Worker at Tendercare Alpena for the last 10 years. I facilitated an Alzheimer's Dementia support groups, in Alpena. I am happy to provide information to anyone who needs help with this devastating disease. I am happily married to my childhood sweetheart and have a beautiful young daughter, a college student at LSSU and then on to the Vet Tech Program down state. We have two beautiful dogs a black lab (Jasper) and a collie/shepherd mix (Heidi), a beautiful cat Caesar, and two cats, Isabell and Peanut that belong to our daughter Hayley. We adopted all of our animal friends from either the Human Society or the Last Chance Rescue. We live in beautiful Presque Isle and enjoy summers on Grand Lake! I have Bachelors degree in Psychology from Eastern Michigan, social work credits from U of M, and a Master's Degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor. Lots of experience and years in human services and social work. Also love to sew and do alterations and have a specialty in formal wear, wedding dress and bridesmaid alterations! In retirement I will be restarting my alteration busines "Poirier's Pins and Needles" in the near future.
