Rosemarie Coronado (Sponable)

"To Live in Hearts We Leave Behind is Not to Die. Age 35, Rose's battle with ovarian cancer ended on October 26, 2006. Cherished wife of Michael James Sponable she is also survived by her parents: Cecil & Rose, Father-in-law: Ed, Grandmother: Maria, Brothers: Reynaldo & Ronald, In-laws: Tom, Debbie & Ken, Nieces: Caroline, Syntia, Sammie, Daniella & Louisa, Nephews: Benjamin & Danno, in addition to a large extended family. Rose graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and an MA in Education. She started her career as an English teacher at Hayfield High School and West Springfield High School, both in Fairfax County, VA. She later completed an additional MA in Counseling from Virginia Tech. She served as a counselor at Hayfield High School until her death. Throughout her teaching career she was recognized by her peers as a consummate professional. She leaves behind many saddened students. Rose believed and lived by the phrase, "Nothing you do for a child is ever wasted"

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Rose was one of the sweetest people I knew at Huron. I'm sad for her family and students who miss her great smile!
