"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MAYA KARTHA, age 36, on Saturday August 11, 2007 at her home in Gunnison, Colorado surrounded by friends and family, after an extended 2 year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother Dr. Alfreda (Simons) Kartha of London, Ontario, Canada and maternal grandparents Clarence and Ruth Simons of Bermuda. She is survived by her devoted husband Bob Teitler and their 4 yr-old daughter Sophie Alfreda of Gunnison, CO..."
