To probably no one's surprise, I have made a career in sports. After college at UW-Oshkosh, I worked as sports editor of the Kaukauna Times for 5 years before taking over as sports editor at the Marshfield News-Herald in 1999.When the staffs of four central Wisconsin newspapers were merged in 2003, I have had a few different jobs with the papers and have been assistant sports editor of the four-paper group since 2006.Stacie (a Menasha grad) and I met in college in 1991 and were married in 1997. She is a second-grade teacher in the Marshfield public schools and my daughter, Elizabeth, was in her class last year. Ethan is going to be in pre-kindergarten in the fall.We enjoy traveling and are looking forward to a road trip this summer to Chicago and Cincinnati to see a few Brewers games and to King' Island. Stacie and I also enjoy going to concerts and recently saw Bon Jovi in St. Paul (they still rock)! And don't forget about Poison coming to Appleton in a couple of weeks!

West was a blast. Most of the greatest memories involve partying, which seems to be a common theme among all of us on this site.My parents coming home at two of my parties was not a highlight. It always seemed we had somewhere to party - Siglers', Losselyoung's, Tosh's, Ricks', Dino's after a basketball game, Keefe's grandma's (nice memory Caren).
Anytime I hear something off Van Halen's 5150 or The Cars or Steve Miller, I think of a party.
Going backstage for Van Halen, Metallica and the Scorpions at Alpine Valley (thanks Moore) and drinking free beer; the Boston concert at Alpine (remember Sun Country 2-liter bottles?), Matilda Bay tailgating at County Stadium, frozen beers at Lambeau -- good times. And don't forget all those late night movies courtesty of Dick at the Marc. Looking forward to this weekend.
