Comments:
I went to UW Platteville and after a couple of breaks finally graduated in December 1995. I went to work as a Design Engineer for Raytheon Commercial Laundry (Speed Queen) in Ripon. Then in 1998 I went to work at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, WI as a Design Engineer on Large Outboards. This fall will make 10 years at Mercury. It’s treated me well so I can’t complain too much. We’ve lived in Oshkosh since 1991 because it’s central to Fond du Lac and Neenah where we both work.
I got married to the girl next door in the summer of 1994. Melissa and I dated since senior year of high school. (She went to St Mary’s in Menasha)
Since the last year of college our lives have revolved around some sort of competitions related to bicycling, running, or XC skiing. I started Mountain bike racing in 1994. Then started doing triathlons in 2001 and completed my first Ironman in 2002. I’ve competed in 5 of them. I continued competing in endurance events until just recently when I started racing for Team Wheel and Sprocket. I’m currently focusing on road racing and just enjoying riding my bike. Most of our friends and relatives call us crazy for the fact that we have 16 bikes in the basement and because we do so many challenging events throughout the year.
Melissa and I also just recently started an LLC to invest in real estate and flipped our first house this spring. We plan on continuing to invest as time permits when we aren’t swimming, biking, running, skiing, etc….
