School Story:

So Many:

I have to start with 9th grade even though it was at Boles, Mr. Pfaff's class: Mr. Pfaff's Pfast cart, Norris entertaining the class on a daily basis, Tim Cameron, me getting sent to Mr. Scott's office for pretending to "massage" Mr. Pfaff's rear-end when I thought he wasn't looking...apparently he was. Why did I think that was funny?

"Free Crumby" shirts

The "captain has now turned off the fasten seat belts sign" school bell

Sneaking off campus with an upper-termer (ducking down in the back of someone's car, didn't work so well in Kyle's open-air yellow jeep) to risk your life in the parking lot, drive 85 miles an hour to Subway or Mr. G's for the glorified off-campus lunch, wait in an extremely long line, cram down your food, haul 95 mph back to school as you were pushing being late, totally worth it

Enter Senior year: finally got smart, spent nearly every lunch break in the library studying with Lucas, that meant you could go to bed 1 hour earlier to wake up at 5:37 am for morning practice, every morning

State Swim Meets every year and Coach Jon's victory laps and having to stop for beef jerkey at that little place just outside of Austin

Late night studying at Lucas's and bags of chocolate chip teddy grahams

rolling into swim practice 30-45 min late but still getting counted for not being absent

Making AP English videos to illustrate various novels we were reading at the time, Audrey and I in "fire-tights" at Veterans Park

Audrey and I eating crackers and chewing gum while playing the violin in Orchestra as we were starving from morning swim and cross-country practices, getting caught almost everyday, no consequences, really walking on the wild side

the Tennessee Orchestra competition bus trip

Dragon Breath...

Making full use of the 3 excused absences per class allowed in order to still be exempt from exams, nearly 6 full days, "being sick" or sleeping

getting to college and being really disappointed in having to take final exams

explaining to northern friends in college the magnificence of Homecoming mums

thinking the "underground railroad" was actually a secret mesh of escape roads underground...confessing this out loud in History, Arjun saying he was offically now starting a "Brittany Book"

Christina and I burning holes in our Easter egg colored prom-dresses accidentally

1st cars and Trisha Yearwood, grad night and open-top cars, Baby Got Back

getting Photography to count for the computer class credit, really?

taking World Geography at night school, quite a few stories in itself

staring at a certain someone's very toned legs throughout ALL of AP History...now hilarious looking back, slightly psycho

And Hold On: I really thought those were autographs to Mrs. T from Patrick Swayze

...thinking of more
