After causing Mrs. Riddle to become virtually speechless, which then changed to stammering, when she found out she had a student in her business co-op class that had gotten married (me, how and WHY would I do that!???) on labor day weekend in'79, I figured it was going to be an interesting year. On March 1, 1981 Danny (Laney, PGBHS '79) & I were saved at Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church. Our lives have never been the same. In the spring of 1984 we moved to rural Lawrence county Ohio on 2 acres of my grand parents old farm. Danny worked at Kentucky Electric Steel for 23 years until the plant closed in January 2003. I went to work at the Ashland YMCA in January of 2003 and am still there today. Danny went to Shawnee State University after the plant closing and graduated as the top student in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. He was in the top 23 of the entire graduationg class of 2005 (appx. 600 grads) I am VERY proud of his accomplishment at the age of 43. He works in the rehab department @ KDMC. He has been an ordained Free Will Baptist minister since Oct. 1984. He has pastored several churches in Ohio and preached all over the tri-state. We were blessed to celabrate our 30th wedding anniversary this year by going out to dinner while we waited for my 79 year old BIKER'S for CHRIST dad (he drives a Honda, but he has as Harley heart) to be released from St. Mary's hosp. after rolling his 4-wheeler! He was very banged up and the ambulance drivers insisted he go to a trauma hospital. After a couple days stay to chek him out, we took him home with a lot of bruises but not 1 broken bone! It was amazing. Mom and Dad built a new house in the original farm house location over here in 1988 and have been here ever since.
