School Story:
I remember.... we had a really cool class..remember getting in trouble too much in class ....such as having to write - in chalk - the 23rd Psalms on Miss Long's chalk board until my fingers were sore.. for blaspheming ( I've received forgiveness since ). I remember getting in trouble all the time for talking, ( or passing notes ), to Krista and others in Mrs. Norris classes....having a lot of fun as Shirley Windham Powell's and Diane Weaver's assistant....Ranae Ardis being a great friend. Pam Coker and Vonna Merrill's kindness for carrying my books occasionally at the old Jr. High. They had great spirits then and I'm sure they still do... Floating down the creek in innertubes..hanging out with Herbert at Gulf Shores along with Stan, Russ, Scotty Flowers, Walter and Joey.... and mis-behaving at Spring Break ( I've received forgiveness since ). I remember skating with Deborah Coleman at Blanton's Skate Rink...That is also where I met my wife.......Riding around with Walter Rose on too many nights consuming refreshment, ( I've received forgiveness since ). I remember what a good guy Kippy Powe was and still is and how accurate of a kicker he was..we went to Alabama together and were great friends there also.
I remember the summer before my senior year being one of the best ever...
I remember playing pickup basketball with Harold Williams since we were in the 7th grade and what a great guy he was ...Glen Archie giving an heroic effort against Fairhope our senior year and coming over to our house after graduation along with Wilhelmina Dailey, Willie Banks, Buster Johnson and others. I remember carrying Tammy Brook's books occasionally and how sweet she was. I'm looking forward to the reunion.
