Joey was one of my very best friends and I was so hurt to find out about his passing. My heart aches and the reunion will not be the same without him. He always knew how to make me smile or laugh. He always had the latest news. I truely love him and miss him. I will always remember what fun we had at Harding College in Searcy, AK. The Atmore Civitan Club sponsored us to attend the Citizenship seminar there in the summer of '79. We had the best time that week and of course learned a lot about our government. (wink, wink) We will have to have the song "Ring My Bell" played in his honor because that's the song I think of when I remember Joey. I'll never forget how excited he was when the US Hockey Team won in the winter Olympics in 1980. He was so cute!!! Everyone will also remember that Joey would always flash his lights when he would pass you while driving his little MG. He must have driven with one hand on the lightswitch because he knew so many people and was constantly flashing his lights. He was also one of the first people I danced with on the "Disco" floor at Blanton's Roller Rink. FUN TIMES!!!
