Debbie Bellnier (Schooley) - Class Of 1972

 

AUBURN < Deborah B. Schooley, 54, of Turnpike Road, Auburn, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at her home following a battle with cancer. Deborah was born in Auburn on Dec. 26, 1954, and was a graduate of Auburn High School, ACC, and Katherine Gibbs College. She had been employed with the Auburn Housing Authority for more than 30 years as the tenant relations assistant. She was a founding member of the Breast Cancer Organization R.I.S.E. Debbie was very active with her children"s sports and school activities at Weedsport High School. She loved nature, gardening, crocheting and in fact, Debbie was a blue ribbon winner at the New York State Fair for her needle work. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Lee Schooley; her daughter, Leigh Anne Schooley; and son, Jesse D. Schooley; her mother, Alice Farrington Bellnier, of Auburn; a brother, Terrance Bellnier and his wife, Jill, of Rochester; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Sharon Schooley, of Montezuma; a sister-in-law, Debbie Mackey; brothers-in-law Charles Schooley, Tom and Alan Clark; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, in St. Alphonsus Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph"s Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. Contributions in memory of Deborah B. Schooley may be made to Breast Cancer Research or to the charity of one"s choice.
