Melanie Boglione (Tambroni) - Class Of 1973

Melanie A. (Boglione) Tambroni, formerly of Auburn and Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Niagara Hospice House. She was 57.

She was born in Auburn on Feb. 4, 1956, a daughter of Anthony J. and Yolanda (Izzo) Boglione. She attended schools in Auburn, including Cayuga Community College.

Ms. Tambroni worked for the NYS Department of Labor for 36 years until her retirement in 2012. She was an animal lover who adored her pets and she also enjoyed cooking and going to the casino, but her greatest joy was her time with her family and friends and helping others.

She is survived by two children, Michael (Justine) Tambroni, of Niagara Falls and Melissa (Matthew) Szymanski, of Sanborn; her mother, Yolanda (late Anthony) Boglione; her grandson, Grayson Szymanski and her siblings, Diane (Patrick) Brisbin of Inverness, Fla., and Gregory (Linda) Boglione of Alpharetta, Ga. She was predeceased by her father, Anthony J. Boglione, in 2008.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at the Lane Funeral Home Inc., 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave. Everyone please assemble at the church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston. If desired, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Tambroni’s name to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, N.Y., 14094.
