John O'Connor (O'Connor) - Class Of 1975

 

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. < Mr. John Frederick O"Connor, 50, of Battle Creek, Mich., died suddenly Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at his home in Battle Creek, Mich. He was born August 03, 1957 in Auburn, the son of John F. and Madeline J. (Sandy) O"Connor currently residing in Hilliard, Ohio. He is a 1977 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. He served as an executive and corporate chef in New York, Ohio and Michigan. He was the former owner of the RSVP restaurant and the current owner of Rent-A-Chef catering both in Battle Creek, Mich. John is survived by his loving wife of 15 years:, Annett J. (Hamilton) O"Connor; sons, Ryan Robbins, Patrick O"Connor and Lane Dahnke; daughters, Kristen O"Connor and Jackee O"Connor; grandson, Antonio Gay; brothers, Michael O"Connor, Joseph O"Connor and Matthew O"Connor; sisters, Nancy Ryerson, Madeline Brown, Brian O"Connor, Pamela Hogan and Heather Speaks; and several nieces and nephews. John is a member of the Battle Creek Eagle Lodge No. 299. He enjoyed coaching for the Wattle"s Park Men"s Club and AYSO soccer with his wife Annett. He enjoyed golfing and gardening, especially his pumpkin patch. He was an avid Ohio State football fan. He loved people and spending time with his family. John had a true zest for life. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. The family will be in attendance from 1 to 3 p.m. The family requests that you join them at the Battle Creek Eagle Lodge No. 209, 19757 Capital Ave. NE, to celebrate John"s life from 4 to 6 p.m..
