DAWSONVILLE, Ga. — Cindy Sedor, 57, passed away at home with her partner, Shari at her side on Oct. 20, 2016 after a two year struggle with cancer.

Cindy grew up in Auburn, N.Y., and attended SUNY Upstate Medical Center where she received a degree in respiratory therapy. Upon graduation, she moved to Georgia. After working as a respiratory therapist for many years, she became a massage and craniosacral therapist, bringing healing to many people in Northern Georgia.

Cindy loved life and brought light, laughter, color, and love to all those who knew her. She loved to garden, quilt, cycle, hike, read, and visit the ocean. She and Shari were able to visit Hilton Head just two weeks before she passed.

She is survived by her partner of 17 years, Shari Sassman, of Georgia; as well as by her sister, Michele Sedor, brother-in-law, Mark Protti, and nephew, Luke Sedor Protti, all of Massachusetts. She also leaves close relatives, Adelaide, Jeramy, and Madison Hutson; as well as Mary, Lewis, and Ailish Caster, all of Auburn, and Patrick Cullen, of Rhode Island. Also mourning her loss is a large group of friends, a church community in Georgia, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Joan and Michael Sedor.

Services in Georgia are being held in November. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 in Sacred Heart Church in Auburn.

Condolences can be sent to Michele Sedor, 21 Old Orchard Road, Shutesbury, MA 01072.
