Karen B. Allen, 61, of Franklin St., Auburn, passed away Nov. 23, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia (Richardson) Brandstetter. She was a 1974 Auburn High School graduate and a graduate of CCC.

Prior to her illness she was employed by K-Mart for many years. Karen was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the CNY Bird Club. She was an animal lover and a great person who will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mark Allen; a brother Kent (Charity) Brandstetter and by several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Kevin in 1984.

There are no calling hours. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 30 at Langham Funeral Home, LLC. Contributions in Karen’s memory may be made to the SPCA or to the Order of Eastern Star, Auburn.
