David DeTomaso - Class Of 1974 VIEW PROFILE

AUBURN — David R. DeTomaso, 60, of 9 Meadowbrook Drive, Auburn, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

David was born in Auburn on Dec. 13, 1956, the son of Angelo DeTomaso and Geraldine Gannetti DeTomaso. He attended Cayuga Community College studying journalism. David had many interests including wrestling, boxing, football, and traveling. He was a religious man, traveling to Jerusalem and donating to several Christian charities. David was a selfless man; he would do anything for anyone without question. David was an avid coin collector and dealer. He frequented auctions and flea markets looking to add to his collection of pinball, slot and gumball machines, and many other interesting items. David also enjoyed his cars; his recent collection included corvettes and mustangs.

David is survived by his parents, Angelo and Geraldine DeTomaso; his loving daughters, Jennie (Ted) Girves, Heather (Brian) Tomasso, and Elizabeth DeTomaso; his four grandchildren, Gavin Girves, Boaz Girves, Stella Tomasso, and Brayleigh Bergerstock; his siblings, Ang DeTomaso, Vince DeTomaso, Jerry DeTomaso, Merry DeTomaso, and Tina (Michael) DeTomaso Tardibone; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. Services will begin at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Auburn.
