AUBURN < Carolyn K. Dougherty, 94, of Auburn Nursing Home, formerly of Chestnut Street, Auburn, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Leo Klink. A graduate of Auburn Academic High School and New Rochelle College, she was a teacher in the Auburn school system for 34 years, retiring in 1972. Carolyn was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She was a member of the NYS Teachers" Association. She is survived by a brother and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, Barbara (Bob) Calimeri of Fleming, Bill (Betty) Klink of Auburn, Joan (Robert) Gallo of Auburn, Paula (David) Hickey of Clyde, Tom Klink of Owasco, Larry (Rose) Klink of Auburn, and John (Suzanne) Klink of Owasco. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Dougherty in 1986; two sisters, Dorothy Klink in 1990, and Sister Catherine Klink in 1992; and a brother, Paul Klink. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, in St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph"s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph"s School, 89 E. Genesee St., Auburn, in memory of Carolyn. Langham Funeral Home LLC, Auburn, is handling arrangements.
