Anna Clum (Johnson) - Class Of 1971

PORT BYRON < Anna Marie Johnson, 53, of Thompson Road, Port Byron, died peacefully Sunday, April 9, 2006, at her home, with her family and long-time companion, Randy Banas, at her side. Anna was born in Auburn, on Feb. 20, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Archibald and Francesca Polifroni Clum. She grew up in the Auburn area, attended Onondaga Community College, and had been a member of the first graduating class from the present Auburn High School in 1971. Up until the time of her illness, she had been employed as an examiner with the Cayuga County Social Services Department, and prior to that, had been employed with the Cayuga Savings Bank. Anna enjoyed dancing, especially line dancing, and had helped teach dancing in the Port Byron area. She is survived by her two sons, Edward Christopher Johnson of Port Byron and Michael Johnson of Big Rapids, Mich. In addition to her companion, Randy Banas of Throop, she is also survived by her sister, Mary (Larry) Poirier of Auburn; her four brothers, Harry (Shirley) Polifroni, also of Auburn, Archie (Linda) Clum of Fair Haven, Richard J. Polifroni of Binghamton, Anthony (Mary) Mesiano of Oswego; her mother-in-law, Mary Ann Johnson of Port Byron; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Cooper, Jacqueline (Dwight) Hoover of Florida, and Tammy (Mel) Richardson of Montezuma; nieces, nephews and a grandniece. There will be a funeral Liturgy offered for Anna at 10 a.m. Friday, in St. John"s Church, Port Byron. Interment will be in St. Joseph"s Cemetery, Fleming. Friends may visit with her family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn.
