Bruce and I went to West High Scool together and we were good friends.Bruce was just a great guy, always a smile on and never a bad word for anyone. He enjoyed life and was active in drama in school and he loved riding his motorcycle.I have nothing but the fondest of memories of Bruce,a fine young man that left us way too soon.He has been greatly missed by many,I am sure,I have missed him for years.I hope to see him in the afterlife and enjoy that smile if his again,we have been too long without it.-Floyd Smith

Bruce and I were the best of friends. We played together for years in our high school band "The Great American  Dream" with Mark Alexander, Tommy Hemans, Rick Dannan, Chris Szwagiel, and Ed Vivenzio. Bruce was the perfect kid. A Straight A student. a fantastic athlete. I believe he was captain of the Swim team, and literally, a Boy Scout. By far the best musician in our band, I learned so much from him and I loved singing with him. We had great times together. When I played King Arthur in Camelot, Bruce was Lancelot. When I played Jesus in Jesus Christ, Superstar; Bruce played Judas. The night that our band played its last gig, before he went away to college, we drove our girlfriends home and met back at Westminster Church where we practiced about an hour later, switched on and we played and sang for a couple more hours. Always so kind to others, Bruce could be hard on himself.  He strove to be perfect in all things  I could see the frustration in his eyes on the rare occasions where he felt he fell short

I was on tour with my band, Best Wishes, when he was killed in the accident. I cried for days (not good for a working singer). In truth I'm not sure I ever got over his death, or really even accepted it. I always cringe when I pass the spot on Route 5 where he died. I can't go by there without reliving the accident. Bruce was about the best person I have ever known.  If anyone was ever meant to be a father, it was Bruce. I so wanted to know his children.
