AUBURN — Patricia L. Zink, 60, of Lansing Street, Auburn, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital.

The daughter of the late John and Helen Russell Maher, Patricia was born Nov. 20, 1956 in Auburn. She was a member of the Auburn High School graduating class of 1975, and furthered her education becoming a licensed practical nurse in 1993. As a LPN she worked with the CNY Department of Developmental Services. Patricia was a phenomenal nurse, caring for others with compassion. She enjoyed water skiing on Owasco Lake, and was a true fighter, having battled cancer for more than 20 years.

Patricia was a devoted mother to her three children. She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Nielson and Alexandra Zink; her son, Jim Nielson; grandchildren, Taylor Race, Aiden Nielson, Avianah Nielson, and Anthony Nielson; her devoted dog, “Mama;” her sisters, Kathleen Matteson, and Nancy Sutter; a brother, Bill Maher; nieces and nephews. Patricia was a best friend to many.

Services will be held privately for the family.

Funeral arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
