Gorham – Charles V. "Chuck" Fleury, age 68, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Garnsey) Fleury; four children, Charles R. Fleury, Jessica Fritz, Jamie (Joe) McDonough and Colleen Alexander (Brad Mack); 10 grandchildren, Kaylin, Ashely, Emily and Sarah Brown, Madison and MacKenzie Mamoone, Connor and Caleb McDonough, Gavin Holbrook and Gabriel Mack; sister, Leola Boone; father-in-law, Thomas Mizelle; sisters-in-law, Jackie Fleury and Patty (Bruce) Barber; brother-in-law, Brian (Suzie) Garnsey; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Brown in 2018; brother, Brad Fleury; mother-in-law, Shirley Mizelle; brother-in-law, Robert Boone; and step-father, Louis Myers.
Chuck was born in Geneva and was the son of Charles and Alice (Covert) Fleury. He was a graduate of Auburn High School and FLCC. He was employed as a skilled electrician and was always willing to help family and friends with household projects. Chuck was passionate about many things, including the NRA, politics, hunting and watching his grandchildren's school and sporting events.
He enjoyed golfing and often with his friends George and Dave. Chuck also enjoyed peanut M & M's, cookies, ice cream, Eeyore, fast cars, motorcycles and his new Harley Davidson. He was enjoying his retirement, wintering in Avon Park, FL, with Janet and dog, Gunner. Chuck and Janet also loved beach vacations.
Friends may call Friday, June 17, from 4–7pm, at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held Saturday, at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 Co. Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
