Cindy Cottle Wheeler

I moved back to my hometown of Columbus, Georgia in 1977, and married in 1979. We had a daughter and a son in 1981 and 1983. When my children started school, I began my career as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. Later, I returned to Auburn University to complete my Masters degree in Educational Media. Most of my teaching years were spent as a Library Media Specialist.
In 2007, I returned to Augusta, where I continued to work as a Media Specialist in Richmond County Schools. I also married my high school and college sweetheart after many years apart. I retired in 2013 when my first two grandchildren were born. I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandchildren whenever I can.

I was very quiet in high school. In spite of that, I had a lot of good friends, several of whom are still my good friends today. The funny thing is no one seems to believe I was ever quiet!
