What have you been doing the last 35 years??

Got married one year out of HS & moved to Greenville with my husband while he attended ECU. I worked at Darryl's & we had a blast living in Greenville! Eddy graduated in 80 & we moved to Roanoke Rapids where he became a stock broker. We welcomed our daughter Beverly, in 1981. I attended Halifax CC but, I was mostly a stay at home mom with a few odd jobs mixed in. Had our son Eddie, in 1986. Moved back to the Greenville area in 1990. Went back to work when Eddie started kindergarten. Became the manager of the grill at PCC but left that job to become secretary & office manager for my husband about 1996. We recently separated and I am looking for a job! Ugh! Also planning to head back to school!

I was my daughter's Girl Scout leader for 12 years. Loved camping with the girls & "roughing it"! Took many trips, including 2 to Savannah GA the birthplace of Juliette Lowe - GS founder. Joined the RED HAT club when I turned 50! It's great & silly fun (& we all know how I love silly!) being part of the group. I have met some wonderful women! I just talked Karen into joining! Woo Hoo!

Tell us a favorite or funny school story:

I remember how I used to race Cliff Williams from Mrs. Magee's typing class on the 2nd floor to the lunchroom every day. Once I was determined to beat him there & when I felt him grab my shirt from behind I just kept running & pulled him all the way down the stairs! BUT -- It wasn't Cliff! It was Mr. Wynne - the principal!! Made me go all the way back to my room & start over. I was mortified but, Cliff thought that it was pretty funny!

Remember Mrs Magee? Bless her heart. We'd be in class & I would slip out the window onto the auditorium roof & Mrs Magee would say "Well, I thought Libby was here today". Then I'd slip back in in a minute or two & she'd see me there & get this funny look on her face... Mean I know -- but I thought it was funny at the time...

I remember a blind date I went on once. It was a double date & the other girl was Hazel Lewis. It was a blind date for her also. It's too bad we weren't really blind! Ugh! They took us to the drive-in of all places! As soon they went to get popcorn we got out of the car & ran. We got to the nearest phone & called my Mom to come get us! Whew!

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Just left my marriage of 34 years! Tough decision but, people grow apart...
