A month after school I entered the Army. July 13, 1988. After basic training and AIT, I was officially an MP and stationed in Miesau, Germany. The day I was supposed to start clearing and getting ready to leave to get stationed in Ft. Lee, VA. I was put on stop loss because Desert Shield turned to Desert Storm. So I got to stay in Germany another 6 months. When they decided to let me leave Germany it was only 6 months later. I was sent to Ft. Hamilton, NY. I was stationed right under the Brooklyn Bridge. While there I got married and we had my first child.(Anastacia) On July 14 1992 I exited the Army and moved back to Bellaire for a very short time. My wife and I at the time thought we should move to were she was from, California. So we took off and moved there. After a short time, The marriage failed and I was finding myself sign back up for the service. On June 23, 1993 I was back in the Army. I was stationed in Ft. Bliss, TX. (El Paso) I was stationed closest to California so I could at least see my daughter as much as possible. I was at Ft. Bliss for 2 1/2 years. While there we were deployed to Kuwait in 1994. While in Kuwait the Army was so nice to inform me that I will be getting orders for Korea when we get back to Ft. Bliss. So shortly after our return to Bliss, I was given orders to go to Korea. I was stationed at Camp Bonifas in Korea. This is located at the most northern point of South Korea. I was lucky enough to get a Body Guard/Driver job. I was a driver for most of the Neutral Nations Officers that were stationed there. Then I got to be the personal driver for the Sweden General that was there. (yes we hit Seoul Korea alot) After Korea I was stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. While there I was sent to Bosnia. Of course after all this I was back at Ft. Polk just in time to leave the Army for the final time. I left on June 19, 1997. I took a few days to drive home and tried to take in the big change. I originally moved in with my brother just until I could find a job and get set. But like my previous profile advised I went to Bellaire to visit my father and thats when Kim and I met again after so long. We have been together ever since. On August 2, 1997 I was hired at the Antrim County Sheriff Department as a 911 Dispatcher. I worked in Dispatching for 8 1/2 years before switching over to Corrections.
Kim and I have been talking and we are looking forward to the reunion. There are alot of friends that we would like to get back in touch with.
