Gloria Cantwell Palmer

I moved to Hawaii in 2002 at a friend's invitation to manage her business until it sold...planned on being here about 6 months and wound up staying 15 years. After the business sold, I went to work managing over 100 vacation rentals for a real estate company in Kauai and retired in October 2017.
I moved back to the mainland shortly thereafter and became a traveling gypsy. I bought a little place in central FL as a landing spot, but am still traveling a lot, enjoying family and making lots of art now that I have the time.

Jeanne Ayres' profile just reminded me how we would walk downtown after school and stop at the record store and pick up the latest 45s. Then to the drug store and The Red Shutter and Sue's. Had to poke around Grants and Royals before going to The Polar Bear. Then over to Hollingsworth's shoe store. We got our Christmas money from working for $.50 per hour at Forrest's 5&10. I loved it when we were allowed to leave campus for lunch during our senior year...we were off to the Bif Burger.
The football games and Teen Town were the best!
